Eco-Property Concept

By , November 23, 2010

The government made it less attention to the application of the concept of eco-property. Until now there has been no local government regulations relating  green property development, even though eco-property issues have arisen since five years ago. Chairman of the Housing Developers Association of Indonesia (Apersi) Eddy Ganefo said central and local governments should be proactive in preparing the formulation of rules of application of the concept of eco property. It’s important to do, so that developers have the guidelines as a reference. “So far, the implementation of eco property is still slow. In fact, many countries have already implemented this in order to support efforts to reduce the impact of global warming, “he said, Saturday (4 / 9).

Although the obligation to apply the concept of property set is green, it remembers it so that the rule does not just apply disincentives or sanctions alone. Developers should also be given incentives such as discounts or ease of licensing or tariff Land and Building Tax (PBB). Governments can also encourage banks to give mortgages (mortgage) with discount rates.

Eddy explains the incentive for developers is important because the application of green properties need major investment. It is difficult to invite the developer to do this concept without the given facilities to reduce cost of production.
