Business Information Management Adds Value to Your Organization

By , January 4, 2012

Business information management means many different things to different organizations. Customer call centres are large users of data, often they use data inefficiently. Any call cetre not using data effectively is missing opportunities. Lost opportunities equal lost profits. Basically, there needs to be a process for managing data, an effective process by which data is sourced at a cost effective price, and then used to add value to your organization. All data has potential, reaching the full potential is dependent on the process of business information management employed by an organization.

Not having a business information process or having an ineffective process leads to higher data costs and frustration among staff. Frustration among staff leads to higher staff turnover rates, which also leads to higher costs. In addition, not managing data effectively leads to lost sales opportunities which when combined with higher costs, does not bode well for any organization.  It has never been more important to keep costs low and efficiency high.

All business information management systems should have benchmarks for performance. Organizations should have the ability to generate reports on data performance at every stage in order to identify any processes which need improvement. A lack of reporting ability should be a red flag to any organization and this lack of reporting should be rectified as soon as possible.

In short, this kind of response have to do with a lack of information or indulge those who ignore the truth, and do not take the time to investigate at least reliably.

3 Best Cities For Locating Your Business

By , November 8, 2011

If you’re starting a business, you need a home base for it. Choosing the best city for locating your business is a major decision. You have to look at cost of living: housing prices, taxes, and the cost of car insurance, of course. But you should also select a location with a population that has the skills and talent you need. You’ll also need access to start-up and working capital. But something too many entrepreneurs overlook is their need to network and get to know other smart people who can help each other out. Here are three good locations for starting your business.

Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill, NC

The Raleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill area is one of the United States’ most prominent high-tech corridors. It’s a very popular city for young entrepreneurs for many reasons. Major universities are close by, and tax incentives for new businesses can make a real difference. Not only that, compared to other R&D hot spots, the cost of living is low.

Austin, TX

Lots of people associate Austin with the arts, but it’s also home to plenty of engineering graduates from the nearby University of Texas. This cool Texas metropolis has much lower living costs than, say, Silicon Valley. What’s more, since there are no personal or corporate state income taxes in Texas, this area is one of the most attractive places in the country to start a new business.

Portland, OR

Portland has a reputation as the home of young, hip, environmentally-sensitive urbanites. It also has great transportation connections both within the city and to other parts of the country. Energy costs in Portland are lower than in other major cities, and it is rapidly becoming one of the top alternative locations to Silicon Valley for starting new high-tech businesses.
