Plastic Card Printing Adds New Media To Promotional Tools
Plastic card printing has arrived in style to the advertising and promotions media world. They vary in size from double credit card to multi-sectioned multi-use mini card strips. These, must be kept with you to be used, type items first saw their way into commercial industry as verified ID passes for non-secure locations like libraries, public access venues and the like.
They worked so well that once strip encoding was able to be done cheaply and in mass quantities, the flood gates opened. Add some security levels and these plastic cards become key tags or access passes on a key chain instead of a plastic cards badge that need to be worn or pulled from a pocket or wallet all the time.
The key tags were attached to something we are all quite conscious of mis-placing, our keys. So the little ID device was easy to comply with. However since they are in the public eye whenever you have your ring of keys out for anything, they stopped just short of real high security access.
And that left the establish business at the high end high security part of the ID badge business alone while commercial retail development of the plastic card printing business grew. And grow it did to where now the hanging plastic cards are made up for everything from pay as you go phones to MP3 download time.
